About the Center

The AED Center for Gender Equity continues AED's important work in the area of equity in school systems, analyzing issues related to gender and equity and advocating for the mobilization of sector leaders and institutions in support of gender equity. The Center for Gender Equity is recognized for its innovative work in the field of girls' education and for its contributions in expanding the knowledge base on gender perspectives. It collaborates with different public and private institutions to design, implement, and monitor programs that will ensure that women and girls have access to education and health services and that they can assert their rights to participate in their countries' civic and economic life.
